We’re not all about gin… in fact many of you will know that we started business as fruit famers in South Devon and still produce a wide range of delicious fruit liqueurs and vermouths under the Bramley & Gage label.
One of our favourite tipples (not that we’d ever tell the others), is Dry Vermouth. It’s such a complex and rewarding drink to make, and also one that is so versatile in its uses. It can be enjoyed neat, topped up with tonic, mixed into all kinds of cocktails and even used when you’re cooking (and we don’t just mean for the chef!).
Given how much we love the stuff, we are really pleased to announce that it’s been awarded a prestigious Gold medal in the annual Speciality Spirit Masters 2017. The judges were delighted with its classic flavour and well balanced botanicals. Amy Hopkins, editor of The Spirits Business, said “it has lovely character, full of body and complexity” – and she knows a thing or two about great tasting drinks!
