Recipe Notes

Dates From: The first decade of the 20th Century.
Key Flavours: Refreshing summer fruits and warming ginger spice.
Background: Another much overlooked classic. This beautiful combination of flavours of gin botanicals, fruity raspberries, refreshing lime and warming ginger ale was a hit in the early years of the 20th Century. It is named after a hugely popular stage show that was a smash hit in both the West End and in Broadway, and started the trend for cocktails to be named in honour of famous stage shows and films, or the stars who featured in them.
