This is a hands-on role for an individual who has a track record in developing experiences that excite consumers and generate substantial revenues. The Visitor Experience & Retail Sales Manager will have autonomy and full control of the business’ Visitor Experience & Retail Sales including at shows, events, tastings, our shop and tours.

You can communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation and this gains you the respect of a wide network of peers and colleagues.
Formal sales training would be an advantage but not essential, as is a knowledge of legislative, operational, logistical, administrative issues regarding retail sale of alcohol.
You're able to flex your working hours to include occasional weekends and evenings

What the Job Entails
Create, monitor and manage the company Visitor Experience & Retail Sales strategy
Use appropriate tools to analyse, predict and report back on market trends, sales analysis and results.
Identify retail opportunities and relevant SKU’s
Devise and implement the company’s sales plans to achieve the strategy.
Monitor sales strategy results and effectiveness and react appropriately.
Set revenue targets for multiple channels and KPIs for achieving them.
Manage and report on Visitor Experience & Retail Sales Budget
Drive Sales at Events
Select and plan retail shows, pop-up shops and events nationwide to meet the retail sales plan
Administer all retail events including booking, staff rotas, equipment, stocking, licensing and logistics.
Analyse and report on performance at events.
Drive Sales on Tours and In Dedicated Shop
Manage the staff rotas, stocking presentation and all sales activities associated with onsite retail space, tours and pop-up shops.
Ensure efficient communication with the sales team to effectively promote Tours etc in our online shop
Liaise with the marketing team to manage the online shop.
Maintain Retail Team
Recruit, train and manage a team of highly effective brand ambassadors and sales people.
Work effectively with the senior management team, sales team and production
Provide regular and appropriate feedback on sales results
Work with the rest of the senior management team on budgeting and planning
Form open, trusting relationships with the team and facilitate open communication between all company employees.
Communicate Visitor Experience & Retail Sales strategy effectively to the team
Provide production with timely sales forecasts and manage any new pack or gifting formats internally to ensure smooth integration
Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs and other events.
Keep an eye on the sales activities of competitors and take appropriate actions.
Manage POS, equipment and consumables for retail events, tours and shop.
Location and Hours
Our offices are in Thornbury, BS35 and we’re open 8.30am – 5pm. We’d expect those to be your nominal location and hours, but you’ll need to be flexible with your time to work occasional evenings and weekends and in other locations around the country.
Very good salary bolstered by a regular supply of 6 O’clock Gin
