Yonder Collective & 6 O’clock Gin
We’re very proud of our home town of Bristol and we love having the opportunity to work with so many creative people in the city. There’s always so many exciting events taking place and this year we’ve been involved in some really interesting collaborations.
At the end of October, we teamed up with Yonder Collective for one of their beautiful dinners at the Paintworks Event Space. We created a special autumn drink with Bluebird Tea Co. and our Damson Gin. As you can imagine, it proved rather popular for a brisk autumn evening and, with its warming flavours of ginger, apple and damson, it was the perfect way to begin a night of discussion and delight!
No Ordinary G & Tea
(For 4 servings)
- 100ml 6 O’clock Gin
- 80ml 6 O’clock Damson Gin
- 200ml Apple & Ginger Syrup
- 300ml Soda Water
First, make the Apple & Ginger Syrup. Heat 200ml cloudy apple juice, 1 teaspoon of Bluebird Tea Co. Ginger Beer Blend, the juice of 1 lime & 1 heaped tablespoon of sugar in a pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Allow to cool and strain into a bottle. This mixture will last for 3 days in the fridge.
Making the drink:
To make each drink, add 25ml of 6 O’clock Gin and 50ml of the Apple & Ginger Syrup to a highball glass and fill with ice. Add the soda water to 1 cm below the rim of the glass and drizzle in 20ml of 6 O’clock Damson Gin. Garnish with a slice of orange and a bay leaf.
